The Center for Children’s Books’ 75th Anniversary Exhibit was created in 2021 to celebrate the Center’s history and make key documents and resources accessible to the public. In addition to research conducted in the Betsy Hearne Papers, housed at the University of Illinois Archives, publications and online archives at the University of Chicago, including the University of Chicago Campus Publications and Photographic Archive, were consulted. The American Library Association Archives at the University of Illinois provided digitized records of Bulletin affiliate partners. Finally, the Center’s archival files supplied materials for the multimedia gallery.
The Center for Children’s Books’ 75th Anniversary Exhibit was built using Elementor and is hosted on WordPress. The interactive timelines, 75 Years of the Center for Children’s Books and The Bulletin of the Center for Children’s Books: A Timeline of Reviews, were created with TimelineJS.
