The Bulletin Data Project

The Bulletin of the Center for Children’s Books is a review journal founded in 1947 that publishes 11 issues per year. These many decades of Bulletin book reviews provide a vital record of the history of children’s book publishing and professional children’s book reviewing during the 20th and 21st centuries.

From 1947 to the present, approximately 56,000 children’s books have been reviewed in the Bulletin. This project has turned the first 70 years of the publication into data suitable for visualization and further analysis.
