This page references members of the Bulletin of the Center for Children’s Books’ Advisory Committee, the years in which they served, and their professional appointment or position if known during that specified period. This group met during the editorships of Zena Sutherland, Betsy Hearne, and Roger Sutton to discuss and evaluate the books featured in BCCB issues. Representatives included faculty at the University of Chicago and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, school and public librarians, educators, and children’s literature advocates. In 1996, after the journal transitioned to a larger body of reviewers, a decision was made to remove committee members from the Bulletin‘s masthead as they no longer served as regular consultants. However, guest scholars occasionally provided their expertise on specific review matters.
